If the plant is more into the removal of organic containments then the process of cleaning the membrane should be done using the low foam the medium foam or the alkaline detergent at the level of 0.6 to 1% and the process should be conducted for a time period of 40 minutes to 1 hour.

If the plant is more into the removal of inorganic containments then the cleaning o membrane should be done with the help of the Citric acid and the acid should be the concentration of 3.0 % and that is the maximum.  Circulation of 1 to 3 hours of the acid would get the plant well cleaned. The hydrochloric acids can also be used for the process of cleaning.
